second funding period 2026.
Building on the achievements of the first phase, we look forward to advance our research, foster novel collaboration, and generate exciting new findings in the forthcoming 4 years.

Our annual retreats at a very special venue – Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Intense discussions, a good setting in particular for younger researchers and intriguing results. Let all of us keep very fond memories.
Retreats in September 2022 and 2023
We had to organize the Syntophagy kick-off meeting online since COVID-restrictions prevented a meeting in person. It was still fun with many vivid discussions. We had a good start with many ideas about collaborations.
